Following a lukewarm reception compared to the original film, WB Pictures has fast tracked the second sequel to Patty Jenkin’s Wonder Woman. Announced by WB’s Toby Emmerich he stated that:
“As fans around the world continue to embrace Diana Prince, driving the strong opening weekend performance of Wonder Woman 1984, we are excited to be able continue her story with our real life Wonder Women – Gal and Patty – who will return to conclude the long-planned theatrical trilogy,”
In our review of Wonder Woman 1984 it was regarded as one of the better DCEU films though was held back by a lack of action and originality ultimately being rewarded a 70 out of 100.
