It’s been a crazy ride since the release of Rock Band™ 4 in October of last year. We’ve dedicated a lot of time to the Rock Band platform, making it better and better with every update. The update hitting consoles today marks the end of a chapter, which gives us the opportunity for the next one. Today, we’re thrilled to announce Rock Band Rivals, a new expansion pack for Rock Band 4 that will be available this fall.
With Rock Band Rivals, the Rock Band team has been flexing their creative muscles to produce something truly unique. For the launch of the expansion, we’re going to be bringing you brand new features that have never been seen in Rock Band before. These are really big, new modes to the game, and players of all difficulties and play styles will be able to enjoy what we’re cooking up for you. We can’t wait to share more about Rock Band Rivals in the near future.

In addition to the sleek new Fender Jaguar Guitar Controller, PDP is in the process of creating the Rock Band Fender Jaguar Guitar Controller Charger: a charging dock designed exclusively for the Fender Jaguar Guitar Controller that includes a rechargeable battery back, all the while serving as a modern display stand for your latest axe in music gaming. You can even connect the included AC adapter to the battery pack and charge while playing!

We’ve been talking about an adapter for your Xbox ION drums since our announcements at PAX East. Officially licensed by Microsoft, theRock Band 4 Wired Legacy Adapter for Xbox One is exclusively compatible with Rock Band 4 and these specific legacy controllers:
- Rock Band 3 Midi PRO-Adapter for Xbox 360
- ION Drum Rocker for Xbox 360
- Wired legacy Rock Band peripherals*
* The adapter is still in development, but Harmonix and PDP are working together to achieve compatibility across the entire wired product line.
