Editor’s Note: We will be doing separate reviews for both GTA V and GTA Online, expect our GTA Online review to be posted shortly.

THE GOOD: Grand Theft Auto V has plenty of good compared to the previous release; Grand Theft Auto IV. From gameplay, to driving, to exploration, Grand Theft Auto V is a near perfect example that the current generation of gaming still has a hell of a lot of life left as it nears the end game.

Grand Theft Auto V is full of insanity from beating some random people in the streets senseless, to robbing stores, to robbing banks. The vast amount of improvements brings fresh live to the franchise. With a fairly long campaign to boot, the switching between the very different Franklin, Trevor, and Michael worked flawlessly.

There’s a lot to do in Grand Theft Auto V with the aforementioned heist and robberies players can participate in street races and side jobs such as helping a paparazzo or saving one of Michael’s kids from danger. You can also choose to help innocent people on the street you me along the way, but careful sometimes they’ll trick you into an ambush, so always have a firearm of some kind ready.

THE BAD: There were a few glitches including  some that have been present in Grand Theft Auto games before. Mission difficulty was in the middle between easy, medium, and just completely annoying. Cheap deaths were frequent during a side quest where you help an innocent person and they ambush you. The driving is still bad, though admittedly most of it had to do with you not using your brake.

THE UGLY: Some missions were just frustrating, especially those involving aircraft or the submarine.

OVERALL THOUGHTS: Grand Theft Auto V is a vast improvement over Grand Theft Auto IV. The incredible amount of extras and exploration gives players plenty to do. The campaign had a good amount of time and side quest were fun, but some came with some frustrating deaths. Speaking of frustration, missions involving aircraft and the submarine were extremely bothersome. Drving could get annoying, but it really came down to player control most of the time.
