What the hell is this thing? Be it man or machine?

THE GOOD: Deadfall Adventures has it’s moments from the start of the game onward. Using the compass to go treasure hunting and what not made the game feel like I was going on a legitimate quest. There were also some fun moments involving traps that definitely looked like they were pulled from an Indiana Jones script.  Some enemy designs were pretty neat to look at as well and dual wielding two pistols was fun as all hell.

THE BAD: While fun the dual wielding pistols made gameplay very laxed in terms of difficulty, it also didn’t help that the dual pistols contained unlimited ammo, which definitely takes away from the fun/difficulty factor in FPS these days. Speaking of all around difficulty there really is none. No one enemy felt like a legitimate threat, I really don’t want enjoy playing a game where I can just tank an army of guys without having to worry about getting shot, which is usually the case in most of Deadfall’s gameplay. Lip syncing during cut scenes were also off which was an annoyance.

Dual wielding made difficulty in Deadfall Adventures non-existent at best.

OVERALL THOUGHTS: Deadfall Adventures has some fun moments, but that doesn’t keep it from having problems. Easy gameplay, low difficulty, and no real threat from the enemies are some of the major issues, while smaller problems such as lip syncing issues in cut scenes were just mere annoyances. Using the compass made the game feel like a legitimate treasure hunting adventure, which was cool, but it would get tired. And the dual pistols having unlimited ammo made things far less challenging than it should be.
