The Johto Journeys is now available in it’s entirety with the release of Pokemon: The Johto Journeys The Complete Collection. All 41 episodes of the first season of Pokemon to feature generation 2 Pokemon characters. In Johto Journeys Ash & Misty reunite with Brock to go on a new adventure full of new battles, Pokemon, and enemies.

Pokemon: The Johto Journeys is the 1999 third season of Pokemon, it is produced by OLM Inc, and licensed by The Pokemon Company & Viz Media. It is currently available on DVD.

In the latest Pokemon set the Johto Journeys is included in it’s entirety. All forty-one episodes of the third season in the long running series are present in this English dubbed four disc set. In Johto Journeys Ash, Brock, and Misty reunite for one big adventure full of new Pokemon.

THE GOOD: The first good thing about Pokemon: The Johto Journeys Collection is the fact that it’s legitimately complete. All 41 episodes of the third season of Pokemon are 100% present on the four disc. It was fun watching Pokemon be simplified again with the 250 Pokemon number count, and it’s always great seeing Ash with at least one of the original trilogy of main characters again.

THE BAD: While the collection is great as is, there’s still no Pokemon Blu-Ray set as of yet, and these collections would be a great way to kick off Blu-Ray versions.

OVERALL THOUGHTS: Pokemon: The Johto Journeys Complete Collection is a great complete season box set. Including every episode the TV season it represents as advertised and is surprisingly light on the disc count number. There’s no Blu-Ray set for these collections once again however, and it’s getting more and more disappointing with each release. Otaku Dome gives Pokemon: The Johto Journeys Complete Collection an 85 out of 100.
