A new Nintendo Direct aired early this morning, and it was focused on Nintendo’s upcoming Wii Fit U game. You can view the full Nintendo Direct below.

During the broadcast, Nintendo revealed Wii Sports Plus, which is an HD upgrade of the first Wii Sports game that was bundled with the Nintendo Wii when it launched. The game has a more detailed look, Wii MotionPlus support, and now comes with online play. The most interesting thing though is how users will obtain the game. Wii Sports Plus will be available for download only on the Nintendo eShop on November 7. However, the five sports will be available separately and sold individually at $9.99 each. The first two sports that will be available are Tennis and Bowling, with the other three sports (Boxing, Baseball, Golf) being released in the later months. Players will be able to try out each of the sports for free for a 24-hour period from when they first start up the game. There will also be a Day Pass available for $1.99 that will give players access to all sports for 24 hours.

This interesting approach of pricing also applies to Wii Fit U, though not entirely the same. With Wii Fit U, players who have a Wii Balance Board and Wii U will be able to play the new Wii Fit U game for free. The full game will be available to download between November 1, 2013 and January 31, 2014. Those who take advantage of the offer will be able to play Wii Fit U for free for one month from when they first started the game. After the one month expires, players can purchase the Fit Meter accessory and sync it with their game, in order to play Wii Fit U forever. The Fit Meter will be available for purchase on November 1 for $19.99. For those who choose not to participate in this special offer, Wii Fit U launches both as a packaged game on December 13, 2013, and as a full game download in the Nintendo eShop on February 1, 2014.

Lastly, an update to Wii Street U Powered by Google is now available that incorporates the Wii Balance Board. People can walk the streets of familiar or exotic locales simply by taking steps on the Wii Balance Board, as the TV displays a streetscape from Google Maps. The Wii Street U Powered by Google application is currently available as a free download in the Nintendo eShop until October 31.
