Activision has confirmed that Marshawn Lynch will appear in Call of Duty: Black Ops III:

Star athletes love competition, both on and off the field. Taking that to the next level, ESPN the Magazine is releasing a special double-issue this month dedicated to the crossover between athletes and video games – with Seattle Seahawks superstar (and Call of Duty fan) Marshawn Lynch gracing the cover of the magazine’s first-ever video game issue.

As revealed in the cover story, Marshawn Lynch will be an in-game character in Call of Duty: Black Ops III, hitting shelves this November 6. Lynch recently visited Activision’s motion capture studio for facial scanning and performance capture, in addition to getting plenty of early hands-on with Black Ops III.

An image of Marshawn Lynch morphing into his in-game character on the cover of ESPN the Magazine is attached. The full story is now live here: http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/13005815/black-ops-iii
