The mangaka of Deadman Wonderland will be appearing at a North American con for the first time:
In partnership with Anime Central, VIZ Media is excited to announce that Jinsei Kataoka & Kazuma Kondou, creators of the bestselling DEADMAN WONDERLAND manga, will make their first North American appearance this May! Anime Central is the Midwest’s largest anime convention, taking place May 18th – 20th in Rosemont IL. The creators will appear at a variety of panels and signing sessions through the show – more details to be announced closer to the show!
Jinsei Kataoka and Kazuma Kondou are best known for DEADMAN WONDERLAND, a post-apocalyptic story of survival in a surreal prison built in the ruins of Tokyo! Their action-packed 13-volume dystopian vision of the future is available complete in 13 volumes in both print & digital editions from VIZ Media, and has also been adapted into a popular 12-episode anime series available from FUNimation. The writer / artist duo made debut in 2005 with the manga adaptation of the EUREKA SEVEN anime series (also available digitally from VIZ Media), and are currently working on their latest series, Smokin’ Parade.
