Yesterday on Valentine’s Day Capcom once again trademarked the Devil May Cry franchise, last doing so back in 2012 ahead of the release for it’s Ninja Theory developed reboot for the popular series. While nothing is concrete this could be Capcom preparing for a next-gen port of the original 2013 release due to their being no subtitle such as a number or secondary wording accompanying the title’s name. However, this definitely doesn’t rule out that Capcom are in the early stages of developing a sequel to the hit reboot. Capcom stated that they were originally looking for 2 million in sales, but dropped the numbers back down to 1.2 million, which was over reached last December by 200k.
