It appears that Toei Animation’s European branch has made a major error that has gone unnoticed for two days. Word has gotten out that a press release (currently not live) contains an announcement that the anime company will reveal a brand new Dragon Ball Super film for release sometime next year on Goku Day. The last Dragon Ball film was Dragon Ball Super which celebrated the franchise’s anniversary and wrote fan-favorite villain Broly into the series canon. Goku Day takes place on May 9, 2021 which is where a number of Dragon Ball announcements are said to be made including the launch of a new global website https://dragon-ball-official.com. Clicking on the press release provides a 404 error meaning the announcement isn’t ready to go live yet. A screen capture of the leak can be seen below:
