The award-winning GOLDEN KAMUY was created by Satoru Noda, who throughly researched this little-seen setting for his manga, including diving into the lifestyle of the Ainu people! To support himself, veteran Saichi Sugimoto heads to the Japanese frontier of Hokkaido to pan for gold. When a story about a hoard of hidden gold turns out to be true, a treasure hunt of massive proportions begins. With only a cryptic map and a native Ainu girl to help him, Saichi must deal with every murderous cutthroat, bandit and rogue who knows about the treasure!
