The world of Dragon Ball just continues to get bigger, especially in the merchandising department, as Funimation along with anime producer Toei Animation have announced a brand new Blu-Ray remaster set of the original Dragon Ball Z in celebration of the series’ 30th anniversary. Funimation has stated that this set will be the “complete series” of Dragon Ball Z, which means the set will contain all 291 episodes of Dragon Ball Z and possibly the movies remastered in HD with 4:3 aspect ratio and HD audio. It should be noted that fan-favorite films Episode of Bardock, Legendary Super Saiyan Broly, and Fusion Reborn were also remastered with the same specs in celebration of the release of Dragon Ball Super: Broly, which is currently in theaters and hitting home media in April. Right now Funimation and Toei are running a campaign to see how support for the sets will fair, if 2,500 signatures are signed then the sets will begin production. In addition to all 291 episodes being included, the proposed set will also contain an exclusive Dragon Ball Z figure, as well as a hardcover of The Art of Dragon Ball Z. You can sign up for the campaign here.
