XSeed Games have announced new titles in fan favorite franchises:

Torrance, Calif. – March 29, 2017 – XSEED Games, the independent-minded publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., today proudly announced that AKIBA’S BEAT, developer ACQUIRE’s highly-anticipated satirical JRPG, will release in North America on May 16, 2017 for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and PlayStation®Vita handheld entertainment system. A brand-new trailer was released to ring in today’s announcement, providing a glimpse at the themes and gameplay that players can look forward to on their upcoming Akihabara adventure.

Players who pre-order AKIBA’S BEAT will receive the game’s “cute little uggo” mascot character, Pinkun, who is phasing into reality as a 3.5″ tall pocket plushie  that will come with all pre-orders at participating retailers while supplies last.

A spiritual successor to AKIBA’S TRIP: Undead & Undressed, AKIBA’S BEAT is a modern-day satirical spin on the classic Japanese RPG formula. Set in a true-to-life recreation of Tokyo’s Akihabara district (“Akiba” for short), players will take control of a party of characters led by protagonist Asahi Tachibana as they seek to rid the town of anything out of sync with reality.

There are two sides to the gameplay: first, players will wander the streets and question the quirky Akihabara residents on a variety of subjects related to the mystery at hand, ultimately unlocking fantasy-themed dungeons known as “Delusionscapes” which are infested with monsters called “deluseons.” These deluseons are encountered on the map and fought in a party-based action battle system, putting players’ skills to the test and creating a uniquely challenging experience that seamlessly blends a real-life locale with the secret delusory world of its residents’ innermost desires.

AKIBA’S BEAT also features dual audio support with both English and Japanese language dialog options covering each of its nearly 22,000 spoken lines.
Developed by ACQUIRE and published in North America by XSEED Games, AKIBA’S BEAT is headed to the PS4™ and “PSVita” systems for $49.99 and $39.99 MSRP respectively on May 16, 2017. This title has been rated “T for Teen” by the ESRB.

The ninja girls of SENRAN KAGURA are back in a whole new way armed with water guns and hydro-jetpacks in Peach Beach Splash, which features all-new visual enhancements to the series, 5-on-5 online team battles, and more lovely ladies than any entry before, all packed into one slip-sliding third-person “splasher.”

The summer of bouncy, high-flying hijinks continues for everyone’s favorite shinobi schoolgirls in SENRAN KAGURA Peach Beach Splash. They’ve fought rival ninja, evil masterminds, and apocalyptic demons from beyond the veil of sanity, but nothing in their lives has ever prepared them for… a water gun fight?! Summoned to a mysterious tournament with no choice but to duke it out for dominance, the nubile ninjas team up and face off, using ten types of water weapons to soak, splash, and steamroll their opponents.

In SENRAN KAGURA Peach Beach Splash, when players are in single-player mode, they will choose a team of five from the more than 30 girls available, outfit them with customizable weapons and abilities, and then lead them into lighthearted water gun battles in a variety of combat arenas. Players can also go online to join their friends and take on opposing teams in 5-on-5 team battles as well as survival matches. Attribute cards add another layer of strategy to the water gun war with over 800 available, providing improved weapons, unique skills, and summonable pets. Players can equip any combination of six skill cards and three pet cards per match for a combo their opponents will never see coming. Come on in; the water’s great!

Developed by Marvelous Inc. and published in North America by XSEED Games, SENRAN KAGURA Peach Beach Splash is slated to launch this summer for the PlayStation®4 system. This title has not yet been rated by the ESRB.
