Viz Media has dated Blame on Blu-Ray:
The big screen adaptation of Tsutomu Nihei’s BLAME! manga arrives to home video on March 27th! Filled with breathtaking action, gorgeously brought to life by the same team behind the recent fan-favorite Knights of Sidonia (also created by Nihei), the dystopian sci-fi epic will be available in both Blu-ray and DVD editions later this month!
An “infection” in the past has caused automated systems to spiral out of order, resulting in a multi-leveled city structure that replicates itself infinitely in all directions. Humanity has lost access to the city’s controls, and is hunted down and purged by the defense system known as the Safeguard. When one of the remaining human bands – the Electrofishers – begins to run out of food, a young woman named Zuru and a band of other Electrofishers are sent out to scavenge for more, only to be caught by the Safeguard’s sensors. Faced with certain death, only the sudden arrival of Killy the Wanderer can save Zuru and the Electrofishers!
