Developed by Magic Pockets who have worked on games based on film IPs in the past, the game follows the events of the film. It allows players to switch between the four turtles seamlessly in between gameplay, a feature that was previously seen in the latest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles title Out of the Shadows, which was published by Activision. This title will again be published by Activision due to the publishing giant owning the TMNT video game rights.
