This morning was an exciting time for Super Smash Bros. fans, as a new trailer was going to reveal a new character for the game’s roster. As a nice surprise, we got two new characters revealed, with a third character being a veteran to the series. If you’re a fan of Fire Emblem Awakening, you’ll be quite pleased with this reveal.

As you can see from the gameplay trailer above, Fire Emblem Awakening gets two of their characters added to the roster, Lucina and Robin. Also, longtime Super Smash Bros. players get another returning veteran in Captain Falcon. With these additions, the current character count for Super Smash Bros. is at 36. Super Smash Bros. for 3DS will release on October 3, 2014 and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is coming Holiday 2014. It’s safe to say that we can look forward to more character reveals before then, it’s just a matter of how many more new characters will there be and which veteran characters will be returning.
