While it may not be the incarnation everybody wanted to be on the big screen, the Teen Titans do indeed make their theatrical debut in Teen Titans Go! To the Movies!. Taking place during the beginning of season five, the Titans (Robin especially) are looking to get their own DC movie after noticing the huge onslaught of films starring the members of the Justice League, however after being treated as jokes and laughed at they have to get serious to gain respect and a possible film deal.

Teen Titans Go! To The Movies is a 2018 film adaptation of Teen Titans Go!, it is produced by Warner Bros. Animation and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. It is currently in theaters now and soon would be able to be watched on multiple movie streaming websites where anyone can ดูหนังฟรี (watch movies for free).

Chibi Titans make their big screen debut.

For anyone that cares & was wondering, Teen Titans Go! To the Movies! is indeed canonical to the series, in fact a direct sequel episode is set to air during season five. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way if you’re a fan of the 2003 series, Go!, a hater of Go!, or just a plain old DC fan then chances are you’ll come out of your viewing of Teen Titans Go! To the Movies! with a smile on your face. I pretty much fit in each of those categories admittedly, but Teen Titans Go! To the Movies! is just too damn fun, funny, and enjoyable to hate for it’s hour and a half run time.

The Titans get rad while taking on the past and present of DC Comics.

THE GOOD: Teen Titans Go! To the Movies! is a great comedic film based on the series that precedes it. Considering the very lukewarm reception said series has garnered over the years it’s a bit mind boggling to see just how much high quality potential it really has through the film. It’s full of in-jokes, self-aware takes, and self-centered jabs at the DC Extended Universe. Even with the fun poking at the DCEU’s darker tone Teen Titans Go! To the Movies! does tend to go the same route on occasion for comedic effect and it’s hysterical seeing chibi characters get all grim. One of my favorite scenes was during the “Upbeat” musical number. As the song is still being performed the Titans run over one of the singing animals as they were on the road to LA and book it without even seeing if it was ok. The Titans movie is so self-aware that there’s even a Stan Lee cameo where he mistakes the Titans film as a Marvel film, only to later show up again “not caring” about which universe the film belonged to, the role was voiced by Lee himself which further adds to the comedy.

Will Arnett kills it as Deadpo…I mean Slade.

Along with the always stellar core Teen Titans voice cast is a handful of highlights from celebrities such as Nicholas Cage’s Superman, Jimmy Kimmel’s Batman, and even rapper Lil’ Yachty’s Green Lantern (we don’t talk about his movie). The real star of the show however was Will Arnett’s performance as Slade Wilson. Arnett took the role to heart and knew exactly when to sound funny, sarcastic, and menacing. If there’s any one reason to watch Teen Titans Go! To the Movies!, it’s definitely to see Arnett as the main antagonist, who has become a bit of a voice acting veteran over the last eleven years.

Teen Titans Go! To the Movies! is a self-aware film that’s not afraid of poking fun at it’s own expense and others.

THE BAD: The core childish humor is still there, but keep in mind the audience and source material of the film.

It it’s the Titans we may have wanted on the big screen (yet), but it may definitely have been the Titans we needed.

OVERALL THOUGHTS: Teen Titans Go! To the Movies! while childish at times is a dream parody film for DC die hards regardless of era or age. Never afraid to throw a jab or several at any given target it’s a refreshing take on the superhero genre that feels sorely lost. Otaku Dome gives Teen Titans Go! To the Movies! an 85 out of 100.
