A couple of days ago it was announced that Sonic: Lost World would be coming exclusively to the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. It was previously rumored to be an upcoming title after reports stated that Nintendo trademarked the name. It was officially announced at the Nintendo Direct yesterday. Also announced were the release date for The Wonderful 101 and and the next entry in the Mario and Sonic Olympics franchise. Perhaps the most surprising news however was the announcement of a world exclusive deal between Sega & Nintendo for the Sonic IP. Apparently, thus far this is only a three game deal (Sonic Lost World, the new Sonic and Mario Olympics title, and another future Sonic entry), though it’s highly possible that the deal could be extended if the titles sale well.
Personally this may be the best partnership Nintendo and SEGA have ever made.
I agree, Sonic is still a big seller and to make it exclusive will help the already rising sales for Nintendo.
This is great for Nintendo, I would love to see them make a big comeback.
