Accessories designer Snakebyte has released new charging equipment to make your life as a gamer a little bit easier. Made for the base, X, and Pro versions of the Xbox One & Playstation 4, these new devices give you more convenience and extra time to play.

Snakebyte is looking to take full advantage of the current generation of consoles with it’s recent batch of charging accessories aimed at the Playstation 4 & Xbox One. Regardless of which version you’re playing on these charge kits will not only save you juice on your controller battery life, but also save you money on batteries (in the Xbox One’s case). Depending on how often you play you can get a ton of time out of these kits with only a single charge, which will take about two hours max.

THE GOOD: While Playstation 4 owners may not have much use for the PS4 version of the Twin: Charge if they’ve managed to keep up with their original charger it does make a good backup in case the cable gets lost or broken (and it will). It also comes with a charging cable of it’s own for the Twin: Charge itself. Those who will be able to get the absolute most out of the gear are Xbox One owners who are still suffering from the use and purchases of AA batteries to charge the Xbox One controller. It may take a couple of hours to completely charge the controller, but you get up to six hours of play time and if you’re playing in small doses rather than hours at a time this is a fairly lengthy amount of play, especially for the price which ranges from $20-$40 depending on where you’re buying and what accessory you’re picking up.

THE BAD: Installing the battery pack for Xbox One is a bit of a pain to be honest. Though minor, it doesn’t make it any less annoying struggling to click in the pack just right to start charging.

OVERALL THOUGHTS: Though the Playstation 4 versions of Snakebye’s new charging gear is probably at it’s best as replacements for lost or broken original gear, the Xbox One equivalents are absolutely must haves. Not short of some annoyances, these minor hiccups mean nothing when you save a ton of cash on battery purchases. Otaku Dome gives the Snakebyte charging accessories a combined score of 90 out of 100.
