Sentai has licensed a new anime series:
HOUSTON, APRIL 7, 2017 – Sentai Filmworks takes the plunge into dragon country with its newest acquisition from NHK Enterprises, Inc.: The Dragon Dentist. Produced by Studio khara, led by Evangelion director Hideaki Anno, the two-episode TV special is based on the seven–minute ONA (original net animation) of the same name that premiered and delighted at the 2014 Animator Expo showcase.
Even mighty dragons can get cavities, and Nonoko has been newly assigned to protect the teeth of the guardian dragon of her country. One day, she discovers an enemy soldier resurrected from the inside of a dragon’s tooth, a phenomenon which legend says foretells disaster. In a land ravaged by war, what does fate have in store for the dragon dentist Nonoko and her new “apprentice”?
The Dragon Dentist will soon be available on select digital outlets with a home video release to follow. For Sentai Filmworks’ latest announcements regarding this and other great titles, be sure to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter.
