After months of exclusivity Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare is finally on PC, Xbox, and now Playstation. This third-person shooting spin-off of Plants vs Zombies provides us with the same beloved experienced of the PVZ franchise, alongside some excellent new additions. The Playstation version of the game includes exclusive modes and the previously released DLC.
Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare is a 2014 third person shooter. It is developed by Popcap Games and published by EA. It is available on PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and now Playstation 3 & Playstation 4.
After the long wait Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare has finally been released to Playstation consoles. Along with the release comes DLC and Playstation exclusive features such as Remote Play. There’s also boss mode which is exclusive only to the Playstation 4 & Xbox One games.
THE GOOD: The Playstation version of Plans vs Zombies: Garden Warfare isn’t much different from the Xbox or PC versions. Gameplay is more or less the same, however there is the Remote Play which gives players a portable version of Garden Warfare on their PS Vita which is pretty nice. Classes felt balanced between each other and never too over powered. You also get all of the DLC previously released for PC and Xbox packed in to the Playstation versions of the game.
THE BAD: The lack of gameplay modes is rather disappointing.
OVERALL THOUGHTS: While there’s virtually no difference between the PC, Playstation, or Xbox versions of Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare the Playstation version includes the DLC for free and also has the boss mode and Remote Play allowing Playstation 4 owners of the game the privilege to play on their Playstation Vita. Character classes are balanced and no one class ever felt over powered compared to another, however the lack of gameplay modes is pretty disappointing, though considering this was a good first try at experimenting with the Plants vs Zombies franchise it can be forgiven.
