Organic Panic is an side scrolling puzzle, platforming game similar in vein of Worms and Little Big Planet, you play as a cherry (single-player) who gains power ups that can decimate enemies, as well as destroy the environment. It’s a war of the food as you go across the level using magic to defeat your enemies.
Organic Panic is an 2014 puzzle, platforming game, it is developed by Last Limb, and published by Midnight City. It is available on PC, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and mobile devices.
Having spent some time with Organic Panic, I can say that the inspirations are quite obvious. The game is a very fun time killer, levels only take a few minutes to complete if you know how to get through the portal, and you can even do co-op with your friends for some quick fun. If you don’t know how to work the environment enemies will quickly take advantage. leading to an easy defeat.
THE GOOD: Organic Panic is a fun puzzle platform game taking inspiration from the aforementioned Worms and Little Big Planet. The visuals for the power ups are fun to look at, and the destructible environments aren’t just for show, this is a puzzle game, and the level itself is the puzzle. So you have to know just how much of the level to destroy in order to advance.
THE BAD: While fun the levels are incredibly short, often only lasting between five to fifteen minutes depending on how long it takes you to solve the puzzle.
OVERALL THOUGHTS: Organic Panic is a good puzzle, platformer taking inspiration from the likes of Little Big Planet and it does so well. The destructible environments are fun to see, and the puzzles actually make you use your brain. The main issue is the fact that levels are way too short for long lasting joy.
