Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm received the remake treatment as “Full Burst”, but was ‘Full Burst’ necessary? Find out in our review below.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Full Burst is a 2013 fighting game it is developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Namco Bandai Games. It is available on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

THE GOOD: I’ve been a big fan of the Ultimate Ninja franchise since the original game’s release on the PlayStation 2, CyberConnect did nothing but amaze Naruto fans every as they transition the franchise to the Playstation 3 now know as Ultimate Ninja Storm. With beautifully detailed graphics we were seeing these anime characters being presented in ways we never thought of. In Ultimate Ninja Storm 3/Full Burst the beauty continues with even more detailed and enhanced graphics than before. Like the previous games most of the plot follows that of the Naruto Shippuden/Part II Anime/Manga except for maybe the final mission, the current arc hasn’t quite reached it’s end in Japan or the US.
The Raikage and his subordinates are ready for action.
It seems that CyberConnect2 not only remade the footage from the original version of the game, but also added in a few more extra scenes to keep things in line with the anime/manga. Gameplay wise it’s easy to pick up and play if you’re a season Ultimate Ninja player or a rookie who’s just now getting into the Naruto fighters Like previous entries keeping your chakara in check is how you pick up the victory in this game, and with the improved AI chakara is more important than ever.

THE BAD: There were times when you felt like it was way too much story, but this is normally expected for an Anime/Game adaption. Sometimes enemies were too tough and would take 3-5 tries before beating them. A good example of this is the new Sage Mode Kabuto fight.
Welcome to the sages Kabuto!
OVERALL THOUGHTS: Full Burst is a worthy remake of the original, and the fact that it was ported to PC brings in a few new gameplay possibilities. The grand gameplay and likeness of the anime is uncanny compared to most Anime game adaptions, and the story is great, one could say if Naruto was a video game franchise it’d probably be one of the best out there. Though it does seem to drag on a bit during llater parts of the game. And some enemies were ridiculously tough.
