Konami brings Ground Zeroes, Phantom Pain, and and MGS Online in a single package in Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Experience.Konami looks to give players the full Metal Gear V saga experience before the upcoming spinoff entry from the small taste of Ground Zeroes to the full bang for your buck in Phantom Pain.
MGS V: The Definitive Experience is an 2016 game compilation, it acts as a completion of the MGS V trilogy. It is developed by Kojima Productions and published by Konami. It is available for Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
The critically acclaimed Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain became one of 2015’s biggest games. Winning many game of the year awards among others. Acting as a bit of a finale to the Kojima produced Metal Gear Solid franchise, the game takes place in 1984, Venom Snake faces dangers of both the human and supernatural kind in an open world environment that will have players enjoying themselves for hours.
THE GOOD: Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Edition is a perfect compilation for two near perfect games. While not necessary, players have the option to get into Phantom Pain’s story with the prologue game Ground Zeroes. MGS V is such an excellent game that even novice to the Metal Gear franchise (such as myself) will be pleasantly surprised by what they experience. The graphics are beautiful, the gameplay is fantastic, and the open world is incredibly charming. The Mother Base gameplay felt very unique, and it’s customizable to a degree.
THE BAD: Nothing.
OVERALL THOUGHTS: Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Edition is just as its namesake says it is, the complete experience of Metal Gear Solid V. From the tease of Ground Zeroes to the main course of Phantom Pain, MGS V: Definitive Experience is a game compilation that will enough hours of joy til they force themselves to put down the controller.
