Cubicity is a fun, challenging puzzle game that will surely be hit & miss with some players. but with it’s current price tag it shouldn’t really be missed by anyone. Read our review of the game below.
Cubicity is a 2013 puzzle game, it is developed and published by Brush and Code and is available on PC and Xbox 360.
An example of Cubicity’s level design.
THE GOOD: In Cubicity you play Seamus a young man who stumbles upon an underground world where in order to move on he must use a magnet to collect cubes and land them in a box. Players must use their heads in order to figure out a way to get the cubes inside said box, because it’s not always such a black and white task. For one thing the cubes make Seamus heavier and thus he either becomes slow with movement or unmovable at all depending on thr number of cubes the player has on the magnet. Second you must figure out the correct weight distribution during certain levels to move throughout them to the point where you can get the cubes into the box. This makes Cubicity very challenging, especially for players who don’t want to think to hard when playing, but that’s kind of the point of puzzle games these days.

THE BAD: Some players may find Cubicity a little too challenging when they come across later levels and may end up putting the game down only to never pick it up again.
One of the more difficult levels in Cubicity.
OVERALL THOUGHTS: Cubicity is a fun, challenging, and at times difficult game that won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s charming enough to keep puzzle fans enchanted long enough to finish it. At a it’s cheap price, there’s no reason why no one should at least give it a try unless of course you absolutely despise puzzle games. With 60 challenging levels and extra weapons there should be something there for puzzle fans.
