Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is an 2013 adventure game, it is developed by Starbreeze Studios and published by 505 Games. It is available on PC, console, and soon mobile devices.
Despite having no voice cast and depending on merely mumbling for speech, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons succeeds as an emotionally heart felt story about family, time work, and mythology. Taking place in a world full of trolls, giants, humanoid spiders, and more Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons features excellent gameplay that would have ideally been better as an co-op experience, but still works fairly well in single player.
THE GOOD: Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons has the player controlling both Naia and Naiee with the left and right analog sticks, respectively. The puzzles in the game requires both brothers to be controlled simultaneously, and intelligence from the player. Puzzles ranged from wheel turning, to shinnying to hiring points, to stealth & enemy avoidance.
THE BAD: Controlling Naia and Naiee simultaneously was difficult and hard to get used to the first couple of hours.
OVERALL THOUGHTS: Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is an excellent adventure game that gives you an single player experience with an co-op feel. Fun puzzles, great visuals, and an exciting world brings it all togethe, packed with an emotional ending. Controlling the brothers is a bit of a pain to get used to for the first few hours admittedly, however.
