Capcom has announced huge sales for Resident Evil HD:

We’re very pleased to confirm that the critically acclaimed Resident Evil has now sold over one million units globally since its release this January. The title also previously set a new record for the biggest selling day one digital title on the PlayStation® Network and is Capcom’s fastest selling digital title in history across Europe and North America.

The survival horror masterpiece continues to garner high praise in its recent remastered version. Originally released in 1996, Resident Evil was then “remade” in 2002 from the ground up.
