THE GOOD: Pokemon XY continues the traditional Pokemon anime formula, and still manages to keep the attention of kids and loyal longtime older fans as well. XY’s crisp animation gives the Pokemon anime some fresh new light and fantastic visuals. The show still provides some light hearted fun and some comedy good for a few laughs.
THE BAD: Pokemon XY uses the same formula as previous series, which means nothing much changes beyond new characters and Pokemon being introduced into the franchise.
OVERALL THOUGHTS: Pokemon XY continues the formulaic run of the franchise, while not necessary a bad thing, nothing really changes in the eyes of older viewers because of this. The light hearted fun is still pretty much the same and provides younger and more seasoned fans enough to stay invested into the series for years to come. Otaku Dome gives Pokemon XY Sets 1 and 2 an 75 out of 100.
