Viz Media has dated the Pokemon retelling film on home release:
Catch the latest POKÉMON animated feature film, POKÉMON THE MOVIE: I CHOOSE YOU!, making its home video debut this coming Tuesday February 13th! The movie will be available in both Blu-ray and DVD editions at favorite retailers, and retells the Ash and Pikachu’s first action-packed adventure, from their fateful first meeting all the way to meeting their first Legendary Pokémon!
Ash Ketchum oversleeps on his 10th birthday, and ends up with a stubborn Pikachu instead of the first partner Pokémon he wanted! But after a rocky start, they become close friends and true partners. After catching a rare glimpse of the Legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh in flight, they make plans to seek it out together meeting new friends and Pokémon along the way!
