In the latest English language volume of popular manga One Punch Man, Saitama slowly rises in the ranks of the Heroes Association, still falling behind his protege, Genos. As the story progresses he soon finds himself facing the powerful Sea King.
One Punch Man is an 2009 seinen manga series by One. It is published by Shueisha, and licensed by Viz Media. It is currently available in English in both print and digital formats.
Saitama continues to rise up in the ranks as a member of the Heroes Association. In the newest English volume Saitama takes on the many challenges of being a member of the Heroes Association, and many enemies who come his way. Including giant meteors, as well as the mighty Sea King.
THE GOOD: Saitama’s struggling progress in the Heroes Association despite his god like strength is an interesting plot point. The other members continue to show disdain towards Saitama except for a choice few, and many continue to question his abilities.
THE BAD: While most One Punch Man volumes have a few arcs, volume four only features the meteor & Sea King arcs, so compared to other volumes it may seem short in length.
OVERALL THOUGHTS: Volume 4 of One Punch Man is an short volume compared to the previous three, but the canon arcs are stellar enough to keep the interest. Saitama’s struggles since becoming a professional hero are truly coming into light for the series’ drama, and the action sequences haven’t missed a single beat. Otaku Dome gives One Punch Man Volume 4 an 80 out of 100.
