The hype train for Netflix, Frederator, and Adi Shankar’s Castlevania has been insane, and it’s about to get even crazier, as Netflix has renewed the season for an 8 episode second season. Per Deadline, the series will air its second season sometime in 2018, the series is animated by the aforementioned Frederator Studios, Powerhouse Animation, and produced by fan-favorite director Adi Shankar with Warren Ellis, Kevin Kolde, and Fred Seiber co-producing. Ellis who has a history of writing comic books also serves as the script writer for the series. Originally planned as an animated film trilogy, the series was first hinted at by Shankar in 2015, with Netflix quietly announcing it earlier this year. The first four episode season is currently available globally on the streaming platform and opened to rave reviews.
