Naruto is an 1998 shounen manga series, it is produced by Shounen Jump, and licensed by Viz Media. The complete series is currently available in English in both digital and print formats.
Having been a fan of Naruto since the anime first premiered in the US all the way back in 2004, I was somewhat in disbelief knowing that the manga was actually coming to an end. The series had been in print since I was about 9 years old and took 15 years for the original story to become complete. However, Kishimoto was able to provide fans with an satisfying ending to the series as well an great look at what to expect next with the Naruto franchise.
THE GOOD: The Naruto series finally comes to an much satisfying close after 15 years of being in print. Team 7 reunite to defeat not only Madara, but the threat of the newly revived Otsutsuki Kaguya. Victorious, things aren’t as celebratory as Sakura & Naruto would hope as Sasuke challenges Naruto to a fight to the death in an attempt to severe their bond once and for all. Naruto however, finally gets Sasuke to concede after fighting for what was probably hours. In the final Scarlet Spring arc we get our first glimpse at Naruto as the Seventh Hokage, and the future with his son Boruto and his friends.
THE BAD: Nothing.
OVERALL THOUGHTS: After an amazing 15 year run, the original Naruto franchise comes to an end. Providing fans with an satisfying ending and closing the book on Naruto’s long journey to return Sasuke back home, as well as becoming hokage, the series looks at the next star in the franchise; Naruto’s prodigy son Boruto and his friends. Otaku Dome gives Naruto Volumes 70-73 an 94 out of 100.
