Naruto Shippuden is in the midst of it’s final run on home media with uncut set 29. In this boxset, Naruto & Kikashi take center stage as the latter attempts to reach out to his former comrade Obito Uchiha, with little to no luck. Thus it’s up to Naruto to succeed where his sensei has failed in reaching his old friend for the greater good of the Fourth Great Ninja War.
Naruto Shippuden is an 2007 shounen anime series, it is produced by Studio Pierrot, and licensed by Viz Media. It is currently available on DVD in English.
THE GOOD: The Fourth Great Ninja War arc is reaching its climax in the American dub run, and Kakashi attempts to reach Obito Uchiha, however he fails miserably and enlists the aid of Naruto to guide Obito to their side. Emotions rise as the duo attempt to reason with Obito in an all or nothing effort. Meanwhile unexpected alliances ensue elsewhere on the battle grounds. Set 29 features emotional deep and heavy action compared to a couple of the previous sets with the Fourth Great Ninja War fully underway. A fan favorite death takes things to a drastic turn as the village ninjas try to survive Obito and Madara’s massacre.
THE BAD: Nothing.
OVERALL THOUGHTS: The end is near for Naruto Shippuden in the US, with the final major arc nearing its close, the anime reaches a new high in quality. Excellent drama, action, and animation values make these last few sets a pleasure to view as a fan of the series. Otaku Dome gives Naruto Shippuden Uncut Set 29 a 90 out of 100.
