Studio Bones and Funimation have announced a fifth season for the acclaimed Boku no Hero Academia/My Hero Academia anime adaptation. Originally premiering in April 2016 the My Hero Academia anime series has quickly risen in popularity with several tie-in media including two video games, as well as two films and spinoff manga. Season four which wrapped on April 4, 2020 covered the Hassaikai and School Festival arcs. Season five which as of this writing has no release date will reportedly cover the Joint Training arc.
