Josh Stewart of Newsday.com stated that Jeff Jarrett has declined interviews due to wanting to keep his new project with Country Music star Toby Keith in major secrecy. However he did respond to Stewart’s last request for an interview with the following: “I can tell you I’m making good progress, so, stay tuned!”. Word making the rounds is Jarrett is currently scouting talent in not only the United States, but Internationally as well for what is expected to be a new fourth major wrestling promotion. Given how excited Jarret is it can be assumed that some talent might have even been signed to deals already.
Another interesting thing about the promotion is that talks have already begun for a National TV deal in the US. Toby Keith & company have high hopes for the new promotion and the money to help back it up, if they were looking to sign some major names like the recently departed CM Punk & AJ Styles. Though in Punk’s case it’s unlikely that he would go anywhere other than ROH or retire if he is indeed waiting to be released from WWE. Jarrett originally got Keith & his group interested in purchasing TNA, but the deal fell through due to the Carters apparently wanting more money than what was offered.
