In rather a surprising turn of events Marvel has announced that a major film will be going toe to toe with DC’s controversial Batman vs Superman/Man of Steel 2, which put itself on a date that was already known to have an Marvel film scheduled. The film has now been revealed as the third film in the powerful Captain America trilogy. This could be worrying for DC, as the original Captain America did well in the box office with the upcoming sequel expecting to do even higher. Man of Steel’s box office numbers were moderate at best in comparison. In an interview with IGN, Marvel stated they wouldn’t be backing down from the date after the DC move, we now know why.
