When Dragon Ball FighterZ was rumored prior to then officially announced at E3, many were surprised that a Nintendo Switch version wasn’t included as well, mainly due to the fact that the popular Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 was coming to the console (reportedly in September), however there is still hope for Switch owners to get their hands on the Arc System Works developed game as Game Producer Tomoko Hiroki has stated that if fan demand for a Switch version of the game was high enough then a Switch version would definitely be likely. While being interviewed by French website Gameblog.fr she was asked about rumored difficulties for the development of the Switch version of Xenoverse 2 and had the following to say:
“We did not run into any true difficulties for the Switch version of Xenoverse 2,” said Tomoko.
“I’d say that if we get enough demand from fans, we could make a Switch version [of Dragon Ball FighterZ] as well. Although, it may not release at the same time as the other versions, we might consider it.”
This has since caused a petition to launch for a Switch version to begin development which has since gone on to have over 12,000 signatures nearly reaching its 15k goal, anyone interested can sign up here
