So Bazooka has released some new candy based on popular gaming and anime/manga franchise Yo-Kai Watch. I received both flavors; regular and sour. The first thing I noticed besides the rather shiny, large, and silver package was the fact that the scent could be smelled even through what seemed like tough packing. Thankfully both flavors of the candy actually smell really pleasing to the nose, and actually mad me even more curious as to what I was about to consume.

When it comes to candy the first thing I have to admit I’m a huge sour nut. Whenever I go shopping for candy, unless I’m in the mood for chocolate or something specific, then 9 times out of 10 something sour is what I’ll be craving, so I was happy that I ended up being lucky enough to receive both flavors to try out.

Now to get into the tasting of the product, admittedly being a sour candy fan I was slightly disappointed in the sour version of the gummy candy, and that one kind of hit me in the heart as I was looking forward to it, granted it’s not bad, it just could be a little more sour than it is, it tasted more gummy than it did sour. However, the regular version tasted very great, a family member who was with me while we tested the candy out noticed how it smelled like jolly ranchers, the familiar scent will likely attract anyone interested in giving it a try. While not exactly a review if I had to give the candy scores, I’d have to say the regular is an 90 out of 100, with the sour being an 79 out of 100. The candy is inexpensive so if you want to try it go for it, others will likely get better enjoyment out of the sour candy than myself however.
