Spread the love

Tis the season, it’s once again time to whip out those wallets and lists to do some Christmas shopping for your family and loved ones! It’s the time where your knowledge of your loved ones is tested as you have to consider what they want or need to receive for Christmas. It’s hard, especially if they haven’t made you a list! That is why it is sometimes a leap for faith where all-rounder gifts such as the Neon lights from Neon Mama would be chosen to go down a treat with any recipient. In fact, any gift that is personalized is enough to tug on even the stiffest heartstrings. It shows so much thought and careful consideration behind it, it’s personal to them, not just a general gift!

Now, if you’re lucky not to have an awful person to buy for, then you will know exactly what to get these people. They might have a hobby, an interest, a favorite singer, a movie, or a gadget, which opens all the doors for you. They might also have an important event lined up like graduation for instance. In which case, you can gift something that reminds them of how far they have come or a reminder for their future endeavors. They might like it and may even appreciate the thoughtfulness behind such gifts. And, that is exactly what a gift should represent, something meaningful always. If you are choosing a gift based on something they like or are very much passionate about, for instance, suppose they have an obsession with listening to songs, then ordering a personalized song from songly.com.au might be a better thoughtful option for a gift. However, finding a gift that matches their interests may not always be an easy task. For instance, buying a gift for someone who is obsessed with Apple products and only uses their products might be a little difficult since Apple products might not be affordable for everyone. On such occasions, you should be creative and come up with a gift that they will appreciate like a custom airpod case featuring their favorite pet or a cute family photo.

Talking about creative gift ideas also brings us to anime, one of the most popular cartoon series from Japan. This is where Otaku Dome will be doing some coverage for several categorized gift ideas to guide you to the perfect gift for that special someone or someones this holiday season. In our first bit of coverage, we’ve partnered with Funimation to provide some gift ideas to your anime-loving companions.

Have a bit of anime under your Christmas tree this year.

Funimation is a United States based license holder of anime products and home media. It is a subsidiary of Sony Pictures Entertainment and Sony Music Japan. You can stream anime from Funimation’s in-house library as well as Viz Media & Aniplex of America’s libraries through partnerships on Funimation Now.

Editor’s Note: This article features products received by Funimation in support of our coverage. Content received includes Shenron t-shirt, Bakugo Katsuki Gnerd Gnome, a chrome edition Funko Pop, My Hero Academia tree ornaments, Dragon Ball Super: Broly XL Figpins, Bakugo Katsuki Age of Heroes figure, Banpresto Super Saiyan God Goku figure, and a subscription to Funimation Now

As we inch closer to December 25th the stress for gifting whether it be family, friends, or even co-workers comes heavy. Especially for those new or unfamiliar with anime and manga which has become a bit common place in households these days compared to years past. So this year Funimation has lent us a hand to help our readers out with some ideas that may be of use for said loved ones and possibly even yourself.

Deck out your Christmas tree with some My Hero Academia flair.
From t-shirts to toys and even Christmas ornaments Funimation has you covered for all your anime product needs this holiday.

If you know someone who loves collecting branded t-shirts including anime themed shirts Funimation has a wide selection of t-shirts, sweaters, pants, & more from properties such as Dragon Ball, One Piece, My Hero Academia, and other IP from within their massive decades long library. These usually range in price from $6.99-$49.99 depending on the type of apparel you’re getting and the brand partner. We received a Dragon Ball t-shirt featuring the dragon Shenron which you can see pictured above priced at $8.99.

Get your anime loving family in on the recent figpin craze with options from Dragon Ball and more including XL sizes.

I’ve recently learned of the rising figpin craze that’s quickly taking over fandoms from all mediums including anime and manga. Funimation has their own brand of Figpins featuring their titles, this craze may not be for everyone, but it’s worth at least doing some research for. They can admittedly be kind of hefty in price depending on the property and come in different sizes. Pictured above is the Dragon Ball Super: Broly Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta/Super Saiyan Full Power Broly XL figpin combo pack priced at $49.99 that was sent to me from Funimation.

Have someone you know that loves collecting anime Funko Pop? Why not get them started on the new chrome variants.

If the person or people you plan to purchase for this holiday season love collecting figures of their favorite IP there’s very few choices that can beat out a good Funko Pop. They’re usually inexpensive and come in multiple variants such as gold and the recently released chrome editions. We received a chrome Funko Pop pulled from Funimation’s 25th Anniversary bundle priced at $49.99. This bundle also currently includes a limited edition Purple Lord Beerus Funko Pop which was just recently added as a bonus.

Check out the Age of Heroes My Hero Academia figure line.

If Funko Pop’s aren’t something you think your anime loving loved ones would enjoy why not try Banpresto’s Age of Heroes line of My Hero Academia figures. These tend to sell out relatively fast upon official release and are priced at $20-$25 depending on where you go. We received a Bakugo Katsuki figure in our package.

If one or many of your loved ones collect figures why not invest in the quality production of Banpresto?

If all else fails and our list above won’t satisfy the anime lovers in your life you could always gift them a subscription to Funimation Now Premium or offer to renew their current subscription to save them some cash. Funimation has recently made deals with Aniplex of America and Viz Media to host their libraries in addition to their own in-house line of titles combining the likes of Dragon Ball, One Piece, My Hero Academia, and Fire Force, with the likes of Yashahime: Half-Demon Princess, Inuyasha, Naruto, Boruto, The Promised Neverland, and Sword Art Online. At the price of $7.99 a month it’s one of the most complete anime streaming services on the market. Special thanks to Funimation for helping out with the creation of our multipart holiday gift guide.
