HBO has dated it’s latest serious HBO Films’ Confirmation:

HBO has confirmed the debut date for CONFIRMATION, with the HBO Films drama scheduled to debut SATURDAY, APRIL 16 at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT), exclusively on HBO.

CONFIRMATION details the explosive 1991 Clarence Thomas Supreme Court nomination hearings, which brought the country to a standstill and forever changed the way we think about sexual harassment, victims’ rights and modern-day race relations. Kerry Washington, Wendell Pierce, Greg Kinnear, Jeffrey Wright, Eric Stonestreet and Jennifer Hudson star. The film is written by Susannah Grant and directed by Rick Famuyiwa; executive producers are Michael London, Janice Williams, Kerry Washington and Susannah Grant. CONFIRMATION also stars (in alphabetical order): Dylan Baker, Erika Christensen, Kimberly Elise, Malcolm Gets, Grace Gummer, Bill Irwin, Zoe Lister-Jones, Peter McRobbie, Treat Williams and Alison Wright.
