HBO has made a few announcements in regards to Cinemax’s C.B. Strike, Game of Thrones, and more:

C.B. Strike is a war veteran turned private detective who operates out of a tiny office in London’s Denmark Street. Although wounded both physically and psychologically, his unique insight and background as a military police investigator prove crucial in solving complex crimes that have baffled the police.

Based on the bestselling novels written by Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith, the CINEMAX three-part miniseries C.B. STRIKE debuts FRIDAY, JUNE 1 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT), followed by other episodes subsequent Fridays at the same time. Tom Burke (“Only God Forgives”) stars as private detective Cormoran Strike and Holliday Grainger (“The Borgias”) stars as Robin Ellacott, his new assistant and protégé, in the show, which is produced in association with BBC One.

C.B. STRIKE launches with three one-hour episodes based on “The Cuckoo’s Calling,” the first book in the trilogy, followed by adaptations of the remaining two books, “The Silkworm” and “Career of Evil,” both of which consist of two one-hour episodes.

New York, N.Y., May 4th, 2018 – Creator and executive producer Alan Ball (True Blood® and Six Feet Under®) brings an “engaging and provocative” (Newsday) exploration of America through the eyes of a multiracial family in Here and Now, available for Digital Download May 14, and arriving on DVD on August 7, 2018. Starring Oscar®-winners Tim Robbins (Mystic River) and Holly Hunter (The Piano), the new HBO drama offers a darkly comic meditation on complicated forces at work during contemporary times, exploring what it’s like to be an “other” in today’s America.

Here and Now follows the Bayer-Boatwrights, a progressive, suburban family led by philosophyprofesor, Greg (Robbins), and conflict-resolution consultant, Aubrey (Hunter), in Portland, Oregon. They’re a Caucasian couple with three now-grown adopted children from Liberia, Vietnam, and Colombia, as well as one teenage biological daughter. Although the Bayer-Boatwrights are materially rich, each member lacks happiness or fulfillment behind a seemingly perfect façade. Jerrika Hinton, Daniel Zovatto, Raymond Lee, Andy Bean, Sosie Bacon, and Joe Williamson also star in the series, which is also executive produced by Peter Macdissi, and David Knoller.
