THE GOOD: If you’re into magical girl anime, then you;ll be happy to know that the few that have reverse magical girl plots are usually pretty funny. Gonna Be the Twin-Tail keeps this trend going, with main character Soji, who gains magical girl powers after becoming an acquaintance of the alien girl Twoerle, he even ends up transforming into a girl completely.

THE BAD: The plot is a little nonsensical and there is some ecchi for comedic effect, but Gonna Be a Twin-Tail is only about twelve episodes long, so you can kill it in only a few hours, it’s worth a watch if you’re interested however.

OVERALL THOUGHTS: Gonna Be a Twin-Tail!! is a fine shounen ecchi series, with a reverse magical girl plot. There’s the usual gender bender tropes in it that’s good for a few laughs. and it’s done within a few hours of viewing. Otaku Dome gives Gonna Be a Twin-Tail!! an 74 out of 100.
