After months of rumors and speculation about the possibility of one of Microsoft’s key exclusives going multiplatform it has now been confirmed that the Gears franchise will remain with Microsoft for the foreseeable future, as Microsoft has bought the complete rights to the franchise, and has even teased a possible reboot/new entry.

Microsoft has tasked studio Black Tusk with development of any and all future Gears of War games, which will be coming to Xbox One. For those unaware Black Tusk has not developed very much since it’s formation, if at all. However, they have gotten a lot of hype for the hiring of some key game developers, so only time will tell what they are capable of.
