Anime news translator Ken Xyro has broken the news that a Tokyo Ghoul:re survival game is on it’s way. The news originally comes from a Japanese website known as Ryu Kutya, which has since been confirmed by Japanese magazine V-Jump. The game is currently slated for Winter 2018 in Japan, while no Western release date has been confirmed, gaming website Gematsu noted that Bandai Namco’s European branch recently trademarked “Call to Exist”, thus confirming a Western release is imminent. Going by screens the only confirmed characters appears to be Ken Kaneki/Haise Sasaki, and Touka Kirishima the game will be told by the perspective of a total of three characters from both the ghoul and CCG investigator sides. The game will also feature online battles, check out Gematsu’s translated description of the title below:
“Tokyo Ghoul: re Call to Exist promises flashy action with beautiful graphics that unfolds from the perspectives of three characters. Players will fight through battlefields while utilizing their Kagune as Ghouls or Quinque as Investigators. The game also supports online battles with large groups divided into teams of Ghouls and Investigators, as well as online co-op play.”
