New PVP Modes are coming to Black Desert Online:
Amsterdam, The Netherlands – July 26, 2017/ Kakao Games and PearlAbyss today announced that Arena of Arsha will be made available after today’s maintenance. This new PvP mode will enable Guild masters to set up private tournaments that in turn give players a wide range of different PvP scenarios.
Guild masters and officers can reserve an arena as operator on supported servers. Once an arena has been allocated, the host is able to forge the conditions, kick players, and invite spectators. Masters of extra large guilds (76-100 people) can invite anyone, whilst leaders of smaller guilds can invite their guild members only. Furthermore, the operator can set time and score options as they see fit. Players in the same group will also be able to use voice chat features to better communicate during battles. A wide range of exciting PvP modes are available as listed below:
Team Match
Two teams will fight a number of rounds as set by the operator. There is a 20 second buffer between rounds and each round players will be moved to a starting location. Players who die during a match will be revived in the next round. Each team has to claim a certain number of rounds to win, and if time runs out, the team with more surviving players and higher total HP wins.
Survival Mode
Several teams will compete in a single-round slugfest. Survival conditions will be set by the operator. For instance, it can be decided that a set number of last remaining teams will win the match or just the final surviving team. Once the time is up, the teams will be ranked by the number of surviving members and total HP.
Spectator Mode
Spectators and players that are on the waiting list can view the tournament by using either a “free cam” which allows to freely roam the arena or a “player cam” which shows the player’s perspective of the battle. It is very easy to change camera settings or to switch from player to player, making for excellent viewing conditions.
