Rising manga series Black Clover has been given the greenlight for an anime adaptation to premiere this October announces Studio Pierrot who will be handling the production and animation of the upcoming series currently licensed by Crunchyroll for streaming rights. The manga written & illustrated by creator Yuki Tabata made its debut in Weekly Shounen Jump in February 2015, and has seen a recent rise in popularity since its initial debut, which likely promoted the TV anime getting greenlit. The story follows main characters Asta and Yuno who dream of becoming Wizard King in a world full of people with magical powers, while Asta has no magical abilities, Yuno is a magical genius. After receiving magical books that multiply their powers, their lives are changed.
