Assassination Classroom Season one comes to a close with Assassination Classroom Season One, Part Two. After the craziness of the first half of the season, Koro-sensei continues to teach Class 3-E how to kill him, and comedy usually ensues. Nagisa aides his fellow students in the death of Koro-sensei using multiple strategies, but to no avail.
Assassination Classroom is a 2015 shounen anime series, it is produced by Lerche, and licensed by Funimation. Season One is currently available in it’s entirety in English on Blu-Ray and DVD.
After an enjoyable first half for season 1, the second half has the students preparinging for the first term exams, as well as facing off against a deadly opponent named Takaoka, whom Nagisa humiliated earlier, but has now seemingly poisoned the class.
THE GOOD: The comedy and action in part two of Season One is at it’s best. The second arc is much more appealing than the initial due to it’s quality in direction, action, and story. Focus is a tad heavy on Nagisa compared to previous characters, but of course he was always sort of seen as the main character of the series. The finale in part two of season one finishes strong as dub fans patiently await the second season home media release.
THE BAD: There’s a B plot present in part two that kind of falls flat, involving 3-E Class feuding with a rival class, it really is kind of there throughout it’s short run.
OVERALL THOUGHTS: Assassination Classroom Season One, Part Two brings a fairly solid first season to a close, with the latter half focusing on Nagisa and his inner darkness as an assassin. There’s a B plot that’s a bit of nothing, but the main arc for season two provides enough entertainment to make it an afterthought. Otaku Dome gives Assassination Classroom Season One Part Two an 82 out of 100.
