Editor’s Note: A Blu-Ray review copy of Assassination Classroom: 365 Days’ Time was provided by Funimation to support this review.
If you’ve been behind on Assassination Classroom’s two seasons, then good news. Funimation has a new comp film that will help you regain some memories on the series while aiding you in playing catch up. This new film starts from the introduction of Koro Sensei all the way to the end of the series through the eyes of Akabane Karma & Shiota Nagisa.
THE GOOD: There’s really not much new in 365 Days’ Time, however if you’ve been behind on Assassination Classroom, or want to rewatch the series within a small dosage then it’s perfect. All of the key moments are present in the film, and new footage is used to give us a bit of insight on present day Class 3-E. Nagisa and Karma are mostly there to provide commentary for reused footage.
THE BAD: Don’t go into the film expected a great deal of new material being made available, otherwise you’ll be sorely disappointed.
OVERALL THOUGHTS: As long as you don’t go in psyching yourself up for more new Assassination Classroom anime content then you should be able to enjoy 365 Days’ Time as a refresher course on the two season anime series. New footage while limited is still always good to see, but it would have been more fun seeing altering perspectives of the other students of Class 3-E. Otaku Dome gives Assassination Classroom: 365 Days’ Time a 70 out of 100.
