Adult Swim has announced new comedy projects:
Continuing its reign as the home for creative driven, one-of-a-kind programming, Adult Swim announced today two live-action comedy projects, including a new special from comedian Jena Friedman and the series Mostly 4 Millennials from Derrick Beckles and Eric Andre. For more than 13 years, Adult Swim has been #1 with young adults by delivering a viewing experience that fans have come to expect across more platforms than ever.
Mostly 4 Millennials is a quarter-hour live-action comedy series targeted to mostly millennials, as well as others who may be interested in the all-important, millennial way of life—also known as the “More Greatest Generation”. Created by Derrick Beckles (Totally for Teens, Hot Package) and executive produced along with Eric Andre (The Eric Andre Show), Mostly 4 Millennials is an exciting look into what makes this incredibly important generation of humans, tick.
Through her sharp wit and unapologetically feminist point of view, comedian and filmmaker Jena Friedman, takes 30 minutes to probe America, tackling evergreen issues related to politics, gender and American culture in this all-new untitled special.
Jena Friedman has worked as a correspondent for National Geographic Explorer and Vice and as a field producer forThe Daily Show with Jon Stewart and has written for Late Show with David Letterman. She recently appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, @Midnight with Chris Hardwick, The Jim Gaffigan Show and in the Netflix mocumentary Undecided.
Both new projects join Adult Swim’s slate of original live-action series Decker, Tim & Eric’s Bedtime Stories, Neon Joe, Werewolf Hunter, and online streaming hits FishCenter, The Williams Street Swap Shop, Development Meeting, Stupid Morning Bullshit, and Bloodfeast.
