A Certain Magical Index Season 2 has finally been released in a new box completed set. In season two Index and Toma faces new threats looking to use Index’s magic for their own purposes including the removal of a curse. Throughout its characters like Accelerator and Mikoto (who received a spinoff) aide them in their new battles.
A Certain Magical Index II ian 2013 shounen anime series, it is produced by J.C. Staff, and licensed by Funimation. It is currently available on DVD & Blu-Ray in English.
Taking place between some point near the end of A Certain Magical Index I & A Certain Scientific Railgun I, A Certain Magical Index II continues Toma and the others’ attempt to realize how both Index’s magic, as well as Toma’s Imagine Breaker works. New threats and enemies look to take advantage of Index’s unique magic, but Toma and friends have some returning allies to aide them.
THE GOOD: Character growth is greatly expanded upon in season two of A Certain Magical Index. Characters such as Accelerator and Mikoto get new story information, and a few new characters get introduced as Index II goes onward. Side characters getting more spotlight as the story advances over main characters Toma and Index expands on the quality of the story for season two.
THE BAD: The first half of Index II is a tad slow for my liking, but it picks up sometime before the second half of the season.
OVERALL THOUGHTS: A Certain Magical Index II is a great addition to the Index anime, with a darker story, more focus on characters such as Mikoto, and an introduction to new characters within the series, Index II, despite it’s slow start puts the Index anime at it’s best. Otaku Dome gives A Certain Magical Index II an 85 out of 100.
